What We Do!!
Aside from organizing dozens of charitable donation drives, Stone Heart has also organized support networks for some of the personal issues Houstonians often face (Bereavement, employment searching, etc.) We want to encourage all Houstonians to persevere through these hard economic times, with kindness & appreciation for one another.

The Bereavement Support Network
After enduring the loss of her infant son in 2007, Founder, Ms Catherine Martel began to establish a network of support for parents in bereavement, or with children diagnosed with a terminal illness. Martel had a 4 year bout with depression after losing her son, then managed to have her faith restored.
She became dedicated to making sure she helped as many parents as possible through the initial processes of grieving and to make sure they knew they were not alone.
10 years later, Ms. Martel has managed to not only establish a non profit organization for these services, but she's also expanded the target audience from parents to ANYONE in bereavement! We encourage everyone to look into one of our groups!
How it Works: Fill out a contact form on the Home page, with the subject "Bereavement Support". Leave a message about the loss you're coping with. You will be networked into a support system of people experiencing something similar.
Here at Stone Heart, we respect & value the participation of our entire team! This includes you! We're striving to create a safe space for you to be able to express how you really feel throughout your grieving process. We firmly believe this outlet is a great asset in assisting the bereaved with their grieving journey.
Workforce Enrichment
The Urgency in Entrepreneurship Program
In attempt to empower communities throughout Houston, Stone Heart Outreach Services is committed to spreading awareness about the unlimited potential of entrepreneurship. We believe that residents can eliminate a variety of stressors, related to unemployment by empowering themselves as entrepreneurs!
Stone Heart has established a networking system for entrepreneurs to advise & mentor aspiring business owners. We will provide literature on the process of Business Planning, D.B.A. applications & vouchers**, resume' assistance, marketing resources, & business attire** .
Donations of new/gently used professional attire will be accepted year round. These items will be given to residents in need on a first come, first serve basis.

Stone Heart believes we all need a positive reason to get dressed up and step out! So often, hard work goes unnoticed, or unappreciated. We are working towards implementing annual awards ceremonies for communities to unite and celebrate each others accomplishments & preferred behaviors. Giving positive reinforcement to our residents improve the odds of eliminating undesired traits in our communities, over time.
We look forward to growth & expansion so that we may host various events, empowering communities, throughout the year!!
